Star Castle Spotlights are monthly artist spotlights that feature one of the many artists/makers that inspire the Star Castle community.
Fun fact that many of you may not know about me: I’m a big fan of heavy metal music! I was an avid concert-goer back in the day, and have been in my fair share of mosh pits. Unfortunately, I said goodbye to my crowdsurfing days when I became a momma, but I still love to listen to hardcore music a lot – especially while I work! 🥰
Destroyers of Reality caught my attention because they are much, much more than your typical heavy metal band. They’ve concocted a whole backstory for each band member and share a detailed story through their music – like I’ve never seen any band do before. Whether you’d consider yourself a metalhead or not, give these guys a shot, or at least appreciate their epic storytelling & beautiful artwork!
Star Castle Spotlights are a judgment zone, where I aim to introduce you to artists you may never have experienced otherwise– so stay open-minded, appreciate the creativity and show this epic band some love! Remember, we are all stronger together!
Destroyers of reality are a team of antiheroes, who leapt right from the pages of a comic books, in order to erase the lines between reality and make-believe stories. Since the dawn of time, both mythical heroes and occurrences provided a great deal of inspiration for musicians who would then reflect it in their art.
But what if these musicians were those very mythical heroes themselves, narrating their stories by means of music, and thus destroying the reality as we know it and creating a new one?!
Each musical piece is a story accompanied by the epic soundtrack, allowing the listener to plunge right into it!

When we all understand, “this sounds really epic”.
Our producer from his center "izpechiprod". He understood that our project is really epic and very interesting. He understood, that we are a different type of band with our own concept. And we all decided to work together to create a comic book story in real life.
Our first obstacle was finding the right musicians that shared our unique vision– well, we found each other. Now we have obstacle number two, lack of money to get things off the ground. But we will overcome this.

Meet the Band
Hideko
A Ronin whose sole meaning of life is in the battle. When he found about a sorcerer, who wanted to enthrall Japan, he went to what seemed to be his final battle, but during their fight, a mysterious light broke out and threw everything into confusion. As a result, Hideko found himself in the unknown world.
The Reaper
His origin is unknown. Rumor has it, he moves in the shadows, side by side with death. Few eyewitnesses who claim to have seen him, said he wasn’t even a human being, but rather a silhouette dressed in a black hoodie and wrapped in flames, as if he was death himself.
Snake
Snake is an expert in cold-arms and a former gang member of the Hounds of Streets, whom he left when he realized he was not a villain, but rather the opposite. He’s now come to defend the weak and innocent against the world of evil, which had once been his own.
Michael
Michael a remarkable soldier, pretty much second to none. After his untimely death, the government, knowing about Michael’s outstanding experience in the past, doesn’t want to lose him, and partakes in the experiment of turning Michael into a cyborg. Michael becomes enraged as he sees himself for the first time and he escapes the lab, wreaking havoc. Now he wanders out in the transient world in solitude.
Daemon
Daemon, a drug addict, who was introduced to a new kind of drug through his dealer. The feds work with Daemon to put the dealer behind bars. Daemon is offered a new drug from his dealer, but it’s a set up and a big explosion takes place. It seemed like nothing could survive it– but Daemon did. Not only did he survive, but he also acquired the capability to turn himself into a volatile gas.
